Aliaksandr Birukou

Aliaksandr Birukou is currently a PostDoc at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) at the University of Trento, Italy. He received his PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Trento, Italy in 2009 and an MS degree with distinction in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus in 2002. His current research interests include dissemination of novel scientific and teaching media formats, diversity-, culture- and community-aware recommendation systems, science 2.0 (improving the way science works), recommendation systems, patterns, service-oriented computing.
He has background in data mining, multi-agent systems, compliance management, queuing systems, banking and experience in managing research and industrial projects.
He is in PC for EuroPLoP 2011, served as a PC member for several international workshops, and reviewed papers for several journals (DKE, IJAOSE, IEEE TKDE, IP&P) and a number of conferences (including AAMAS, CAISE, ICCBR, ICSOC).
