ICST Collaborative Tools - Assisting universal scientific collaboration

In order to facilitate universal and multidisciplinary cooperation among the global research community, ICST offers a set of collaborative tools and platforms that assist Society members in all different stages of the collaboration process; from the identification of potential partners and the actual realization of research work to the feedback soliciting and final publishing phases. ICST's portfolio of collaborative tools provide solutions for Society members involved in a wide array of activities, such as the organization of conferences , the preparation of proposals and scientific publications or the building of personal or professional networks.

Using Web 2.00 and Web 3.00 approaches and methodologies ICST provides an open interoperable collaborative scientific infrastructure to support innovation activities and their dissemination. Realizing and building on the fact that researchers are by nature active prosumers of scientific content, ICST dissemination and cooperation strategy fully and exclusively exploits the emergent web methodologies to provide its community with the tools that allow organizations to be able to link, share, disseminate and cooperate in real time.

The various ICST collaborative tools are based on Object Oriented Framework for Atomic Digital Contents that provides an abstraction layer capable of linking different types of contents, providing an atomic representation of scientific results, such as a research papers, composed of different elements, including data analysis or experimental results. The collaborative environment and specific semantic driven visualization tools are tailored for scientific activities, increasing the efficiency of researchers by integrating data set analysis, scientific concepts, experiments and prototype development.
