Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST) — The Society’s Proceedings Series

electronic-healthThe Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST) are the official conference proceedings series of ICST sponsored events, including international conferences, workshops and symposia. Jointly published by ICST and Springer, LNICST includes scientific publications that have gone through a comprehensive selection process based on a rigorous peer-review evaluation mechanism supervised by conference specific international technical program committees.

LNICST reports on state-of-the-art research results from all technological areas directly related to ICST’s mission and scope of activities and aims at serving the scientific community at large through deploying digital age access and use of information tools by putting knowledge in the service of digital economy and quality of life. LNICST aims to disseminate original research results globally both in printed and electronic forms.

Beyond traditional areas of computer science and engineering, LNICST volumes cover all technological areas directly related to or impacted by the developments of information and communication technologies, such as health, arts, immersive environments, simulation, modeling, entertainment, nanotechnology, social-networking, digital and electronic forensics, nano-comunications, robotics, virtual worlds, auction theories, bionetics and others.

Scientific content published in LNICST is distributed through an extensive global network of library consortia and appears on SpringerLink, one of the largest on-line scientific libraries, as well as the European Union Digital Library (EUDL), ICST’s official digital library. Papers included in LNICST volumes are referred to by a wide array of indexing services and on-line scientific databases. All papers included in LNICST are published under an ICST copyright.

Benefits of LNICST

Official conference proceedings of ICST sponsored events appear in the LNICST series jointly published by ICST and Springer. Inclusion in LNICST offers the following benefits to authors:

  • Conference papers included in LNICST are distributed and referenced through an extensive global network of library consortia and appear on SpringerLink, one of the largest online scientific libraries, as well as EUDL, ICST’s official digital library. LNICST is submitted for inclusion in the same indexing services as other Springer Lecture Notes Proceedings including DBLP, Google Scholar, ISI Proceedings, EI, CrossRef and Zentralblatt Math. To learn more about LNICST, please visit http://www.springer.com/lnicst.
  • ICST Proceedings are made available to the whole of the ICST Society. This is a very focused group, who actively use EUDL, where a very significant amount of research, downloading and citation activity takes place.
  • Extended versions of scientific papers published in LNICST can be submitted to the ICST Transactions or other journals provided that the paper contains at least 30% new material and a citation and acknowledgement of the material published in LNICST.
