A Web 2.0 Model Publications Portfolio

ICST Publications are endorsed, supported and organized by EAI. For a complete list of  these publications and how you can participate, visit EAI’s publications pages.

ICST’s Publications portfolio consists of journals, magazines, conference proceedings and book series, and employs a variety of innovative Web tools designed to promote creativity, shorten the time from idea to publication, and provide inherent incentives for quality.

ICST Publications support Society activities by providing state-of-the-art platforms for improved information sharing, and provide Society members with a wide array of opportunities to publish, putting together the advantages of traditional frameworks and instruments for archival publishing with the new opportunities afforded by more dynamic and flexible e-books and e-journals:

  • The ICST Transactions journal series covers a wide technological spectrum focusing on the crossroads of ICT and alternative walks of life, such as the economics, energy, nanotechnology, bioengineering, or health.
  • Submissions to the Transactions are managed using e-Scripts, EAI’s innovative submissions management system.
  • The proceedings of many ICST-sponsored technical conferences are published in ICST’s joint publication series with Springer, the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST).
  • An extended repository of the proceedings of all past EAI – sponsored events is available via EAI’s publications archive, the EU Digital Library.

ICST publications are submitted for inclusion in all major scientific indexing and citation services, including the Thomson Reuters/ISI Science Citation Index, ISI proceedings, CrossRef, EI, DBLP, ZBIMath/Compuserve, IO-Port, Scopus, INSPEC, and Zentralblatt Math. Support is also provided for interaction with all the major social networking services. ICST maintains a strong interest in the development of new tools and services to assist the research dissemination process, including both in-house development work and collaboration with cutting-edge research projects:

  • ICST is offering its members the opportunity to define a new way of measuring scientific reputation that will combine measures of both bibliometry and participation/contributions to the community. This index, provided by EAI, and called UCount, will become instrumental for achieving a transparent recognition. UCount is defined in collaboration with the Liquid Publications Project and powered by their ResEval technology.
