SAT – Sensor Networks

The Sensors and Sensor Networks (SSN) SAT aims to serve as a community platform to foster internationalization of research, showcase innovations worldwide, build and lead new and innovative technologies related to sensors and sensor networks while nurturing a close relation between theoretical and practical aspects of research and development. The goal of the SSN SAT is to emerge as the leading technical society on sensors, sensor networks, and related topics that will emerge in the future. The SSN SAT will strive to reach these goals through organization of technical conferences and meetings, journal publications, and local initiatives across the globe.

Eylem Ekici

Eylem Ekici - Committee Chair

Eylem Ekici has received his BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1997 and 1998, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, in 2002.
Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. He is an associate editor for Elsevier Computer Networks Journal and ACM Mobile Computing and Communications Review. He has served as the Technical Program Co-Chair of Med-Hoc-Net 2004, SenMetrics 2005 and ConWiN 2005 Workshops, and IFIP/TC6 Networking 2007 conference. Dr. Ekici's current research interests include wireless sensor networks, next generation wireless systems, and vehicular communication systems, with a focus on routing and medium access control protocols, resource management, and analysis of network architectures and protocols.
