SIB Liaison Council

The SIB Liaison Council is responsible for supporting the EAI Science for Innovation, Business and Technology Councils (SIBs) which represent EAI’s community organizational units centered on technical fields identified by EAI as the emerging challenges and most promising innovation opportunities of the ICT revolution with the largest impact on human society.

The objective of the SIBs is to provide, together with CREATE-NET support, an all-encompassing organizational framework that facilitates the collaboration among all stakeholders in the research, engineering, academic, educational, governmental, regulatory, diplomatic, industrial, corporate venture capital and media sectors, working within specific technological challenges. The SIBs aim is to support innovation, technology transfer, standardization and education in their respective technical areas through a wide array of activities such as summits, conferences, workshops and Engineering for Innovation Symposia; journals, books, magazines and other publications; on-line tools, portals and digital repositories of information; forums, reviews and other on-line channels; as well as awards and recognition programs.

The setup of a new SIB, or the closure of an existing SIB is supported by ICST based on the procedures, bylaws and regulations of a non-profit professional society and using objective and democratic tools such as the AGORA.

Participate in the SIB Council Activities through Agora.
